About AmberGrace Navarrete

 

Ambergrace Navarrete is a Texas based visual artist, specializing in figurative and portrait painting. She was born in College Station, Texas near A&M University, but her family eventually moved to San Marcos, Texas, to escape the high racial tensions. She was encouraged to pursue art from a young age, particularly by her mother, a former stained glass artisan, and went to the University of North Texas to pursue a degree in Drawing and Painting, which she will graduate from in Fall of 2016.

 

Her specialty is in figurative art, utilizing a painterly technique to show expressive human forms, and is influenced by sexuality, gender, literature and psychology, and she hopes to convey a personal narrative through paintings.
